Macfarlanes advises Alchemy on the purchase of a stake in the luxury UK hotel and spa group Barons Eden

The acquisition is Alchemy’s 10th investment into the European hospitality sector in the last 14 years, further underlying its confidence in the sector. The acquisition is backed by Barclays.

The investment will provide the company with the expertise and capital to fund the next phase of its growth via acquisition and development of multiple properties within the UK.

Established in 1980 and held in private ownership since, Barons Eden comprises Hoar Cross Hall Conferences & Events in Staffordshire and Eden Hall Day Spa in Nottinghamshire – two of the largest spa resorts in Europe.
