Louise Zekaria Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Louise joined Macfarlanes in 2017 and takes a leading role, working with partners and the senior management team, to develop and implement our diversity and inclusion strategy, together with the firm’s award-winning Corporate Social Responsibility programme (encompassing pro bono work, community volunteering, charitable work and environmental sustainability).

Louise began her career as a senior associate at a magic circle firm for 10 years. During that time, Louise was seconded to a major client to establish its European pro bono programme and she also ran the pro bono and community programme at the firm for a maternity cover. Louise then moved to a global law firm, where she developed an international corporate responsibility and D&I programme over seven years. Louise is a mentor on the 30% Club cross company mentoring scheme and a trustee of an arts organisation, supporting early career artists.
