Emma Waters Senior Associate
Emma is a corporate insurance lawyer with a focus on insurance de-risking solutions for defined benefit pension schemes. She also has a range of other experience in the insurance sector, including on transactions and corporate advisory matters, and advising on insurance regulation.
Emma has experience of advising pension schemes, insurers and reinsurers on pension de-risking solutions, including longevity swaps, bulk annuity transactions, pension scheme buy-ins, reinsurance transactions (both longevity and asset) and associated collateral structures.
Emma has also advised on insurance matters in public & private M&A transactions, change in control matters under FSMA and insurance policy reviews (including warranty and indemnity insurance and credit risk insurance). She has been involved in various projects requiring complex insurance regulatory advice. She also has experience on insurance business transfer schemes and has advised on and co-ordinated a sophisticated, international insurance business transfer scheme.
Emma trained and qualified at a leading international law firm, and has experience outside of private practice.
