Ayman Shash Associate (Australian Qualified)

Ayman advises clients across the funds, banking, fintech, digital assets and retail sectors on a wide range of corporate and financial services regulatory matters.

His experience includes advising on the structuring of products and services in regards to the financial services regulatory perimeter, market entry and licensing, regulatory reform and compliance (including AML/CTF), regulatory diligence and approvals in M&A transactions and internal restructures in the financial services sector.

Ayman also has experience supporting clients with remediations and related disclosures to regulators. Prior to joining Macfarlanes, he was seconded to a major Australian bank, where he advised on a range of contractual and regulatory matters, including products, data, privacy, KYC, digital platforms and regulatory reform.

Ayman is a founding member and past President of the African Australian Legal Network and was previously recognised on Out for Australia’s 30 under 30 list.
