Macfarlanes advises BMS Group on acquisition of Trean Intermediaries
16 July 2021Macfarlanes has advised independent specialist insurance and reinsurance broker BMS Group, on an agreement that will see US-based independent reinsurance broker and services company Trean Intermediaries join its reinsurance arm, BMS Re.
The acquisition will strengthen BMS Re’s geographic presence in areas such as Florida, North Carolina, Los Angeles and the Greater Boston area.
The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Stephen Drewitt and senior solicitor Felicity Powell.
Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo acted as legal counsel on the US aspects of the deal.
