Macfarlanes advises management team of Audiotonix as Ardian takes majority stake

20 March 2020

Macfarlanes has once again advised the management team of Audiotonix, a market-leading manufacturer of audio mixing consoles, as French private equity group Ardian takes a majority stake in the business from previous owner Astorg.

The deal puts an enterprise value on the live sound equipment business of circa €1bn.

Astorg will retain a minority interest, having acquired the business from Epiris in 2017, a deal on which Macfarlanes also advised Audiotonix’s management team.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Stephen Drewitt alongside corporate and M&A partner Howard Corney, senior solicitor Julian Grant and solicitor Gruffudd Jones.

Stephen Drewitt comments: “We were very pleased to assist the management team of Audiotonix once again with this latest investment and look forward to seeing the business continue to go from strength to strength.”
