Macfarlanes has advised UK-based private equity firm Synova Capital as its fourth fund closes at its hard cap of £365m exceeding its target of £300m.

The new fund will continue Synova Capital’s investment strategy of investing in growth companies across the UK and Ireland operating in attractive niches across technology, healthcare, business services and financial services.

Synova is a long-standing client of the firm, with Macfarlanes advising on its previous fundraise which closed at a hard cap of £250m in January 2016.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by investment management partner Christopher Good.

Chris Good comments: “We are very pleased to have been involved in another successful fundraise for Synova and to continue our long-standing relationship with them”.
