Macfarlanes announces Competition Partner hire
01 April 2025Macfarlanes is pleased to announce that Foad Hoseinian joins the firm from 1 April 2025 as a Competition Partner in Brussels.
Foad has more than 15 years of experience advising clients on merger control and regulatory matters in Brussels and London. He assists clients in M&A negotiations and before regulators with strategic advice across all aspects of market regulatory law, including merger control, antitrust, digital regulation, Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
Foad has successfully advised clients on complex global matters, from Phase 2 merger and FDI reviews to PE-driven bolt-ons and investigations involving abuse of dominance and alleged cartels.
Foad also possesses unique EU litigation experience, having worked at the European Court of Justice for six years and subsequently successfully pleaded there numerous times.
