Macfarlanes advises Bonhams on its sale to Epiris

Macfarlanes has advised Bonhams, the global auction house, on its sale to Epiris Fund II, advised by London based private equity house Epiris LLP.

Bonhams is one of the world's largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques, motor cars and jewellery. The company, which was founded in 1973, holds over 250 sales a year at its salerooms, which include London, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Howard Corney who was supported by corporate and M&A senior solicitor Ceri-Ann McGraa and corporate and M&A trainee Simon Russell. Also in the team were real estate partner Tom Pedder, real estate solicitor Dominic Kerr, finance solicitor Adam Caines, tax partner Jeremy Moncrieff, tax solicitor Robert Clarke and regulatory senior solicitors Aalia Datoo and Rita Hunter.
