Sarah specialises in all aspects of real estate fund taxation including fundraising and advising on equity investments into real estate.

Her experience includes:

  • complex real estate transactions;
  • structuring a variety of different investment platforms domiciled in a diverse range of jurisdictions; and
  • acting for institutional investors and private equity real estate funds.

Sarah also advises clients on the structuring of onshore and offshore regulated investment funds.

Sarah is a member of the Investment Association’s Tax Committee and spent six months on secondment at Apollo.

Sarah contributed to Tolley’s Property Taxation 2023–24 on Investment versus Trading. The book contains detailed chapters covering all the common (and some less common) situations for the practitioner and their client, covering everything from REITs and other fund vehicles, Islamic funding structures to capital allowances and rental investments, as well as property tax opportunities during economic recovery.
