Emma advises trustees, executors, high-net-worth individuals and charities on complex and multi-jurisdictional trust, estate, family and company disputes.

Her experience includes acting for shareholders in relation to breaches of directors’ duties, acting for executors in relation to the validity of contested wills and acting on various disputes between family members regarding their interest in family trusts. She is an experienced advocate and, as well as acting on contentious litigation, Emma frequently represents clients at mediation and in settlement conferences.

She has also published articles in the STEP Journal, the Auckland University Law Review and the New Zealand Family Law Journal on the New Zealand Trusts Act 2019, cost consequences for trustees and income disparity caused by relationships.

Emma is admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
