Laurie has experience across a wide range of real estate transactions including development projects, acquisitions and disposals, commercial lettings (acting for both landlords and tenants) and joint ventures, with a particular focus on development projects.

Laurie’s practice includes advising landowners and developers in relation to commercial and residential development projects, corporate occupiers and investment clients on acquisitions, disposals and commercial letting transactions.

Laurie has experience of sales and purchases of large property portfolios (including care homes, shopping centres and hotels) and individual sites (whether for investment or development purposes), together with acting for both landlords and tenants on commercial leases.

Laurie’s clients include property investors, developers, corporates, private equity houses and financial institutions.

Advising long-standing client Legal & General on the provision of a £265m debt facility for its Build to Rent Fund with a lender club including Lloyds, NatWest and ING.

Advising Legal & General on the forward funding and development of a number of different sites for build-to-rent use, including Roseberry Place, Bath which will comprise 171 residential units and 17,000 sq ft of retail space and Newhall Square, Birmingham which will comprise of 220 residential units and 7,500 sq ft of commercial space.

Advising on the acquisition and development of a number of former gasworks sites including the redevelopment of the former gasworks at Leven Road, Poplar for a residential-led mixed-use development, with a development value of circa £700m.
